Sorry I haven't been posting, but it's been crazy at school. This is the first week of ITBS (Iowa Test of Basic Skills). We have to go through 3 weeks of this ****. It gets the kids all riled up to be out of their routine for so long and the teachers are the ones to pay the price. I may be AWOL some days just because I don't have time during the day, or energy at night to write. Good luck to all. Have a great day.

Happy Birthday, Happy Testing, Happy Holloween, Happy Friday, Happy (almost) Holidays (since November 1st is the 'official' start of the campaign by retailers to get us to spend our hard earned bucks on 'their' crap for Christmas!)

It rained here this morning - just in time for the kids to get soaked running for the bus. Funny that we were breaking high heat records around here last week and now it was in the 30s last night and raining today. Oh well, our state REALLY needs the rain, especially the flaming southern half. So sad so many lost lives.

Gotta run - million things to do today and barely any are work related! (Need to figure out how to squeeze in a couple hours at my desk)

Have a nice day all - either we will get tons of trick or treaters or very few. With Holloween falling on a Friday there are probably tons of parties planned.

Two kids, two different schools, two different Halloween festivities. Dh and I switch every year. This year I get the big kid. I do love going to the little guy's school though....they have a huge dance for the kids and I feel good enough to boogie. I'll just have to boogie among the tight waisted ladies at the big kids school oh joy.

Good afternoon and happy Hallowe'en all. Happy Birthday, Tippur.

Since going off track early this week, I'm having a tough time getting back on the low carb wagon. I start each day with good intentions and a l.c. breakfast but it's all downhill from there. At least I've been continuing my Body Flex and this morning I went to the pool and did my hour of deep water jogging.

I have to buy groceries. I tend to choose the wrong foods when the cupboards and fridge are bare, so that's on the agenda for this afternoon. I will also be picking up our airline tickets for our Christmas visit to Scotland. I can hardly wait for that.

It's sunny but cold here and we're supposed to get freezing overnight. I'm hoping it warms up over the weekend so I can get some garden cleanup done. Just no more rain, please. Send it all to California where they really need it.
